Sewing Your Seeds

I've been doing a piece where I have to follow a peyote design.
Does anyone have any hints on how they follow them as I have had a lot of difficulty?

I don't know if I will be of any help here. If I am doing a repetitive pattern, I find that after the first few repeats I just tend to remember what to do, like the amulet I designed i am working on. It has an intense design and I was muttering to myself what a pain in the butt I designed, but 2 repeats and I didn't need my paper anymore. You could always pencil out your rows after they are done or fold the pattern up as you go to keep your place, I do that with loom designs.
