I'm so used to doing tubular herringbone with the step up that now I've come to do some flat herringbone I can't remember how to end and start the next row. I am coming up the 1st bead of the last pair, adding my two new beads, going down the second bead of the last pair, hooking under the thread that they stand on (as in brick stitch) and then going back up the last stack ready to go back again...I really can't remember if this is right...anyone...?

There are two ways of doing this
~ jogging the thread back though the bottom left bead that is under the set you just finished, and then up through the top like they show here: http://www.whimbeads.com/cart.asp?pg=cl ... erringbone

or, what I prefer, taking a turn around bead (one that is a smaller size than the rest of your piece is ideal) and going through your top bead like they show here: http://www.rubysbeadwork.com/Herringbon ... celet.html

lol totally just realize how old this request is...
